Privacy Policy — Shishi Lite

Last updated: 30 September 2026

This page is for Shishi Lite, the version with ads. The paid Shishi has its own, shorter policy: it has no ads and collects nothing.

What stays on your iPhone

A running session, how many sessions you have finished, the date you first opened the app, and whether today's lengths have been unlocked. None of it is sent anywhere. Deleting the app deletes it.

Ads

Shishi Lite shows ads through Google AdMob. To choose and measure those ads, Google's SDK collects information from your device: an advertising identifier (only if you allow tracking), your IP address and the approximate location it implies, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Shiori Studio does not receive this information in a form that identifies you. Google explains how it uses it here: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Your choices

iOS asks once whether Shishi Lite may track you. If you say no, ads are still shown but are not personalised with your advertising identifier; you can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, you are asked for consent before any ads are requested, and a “Privacy choices” link at the top of the screen lets you change your answer.

If you would rather have no ads at all, the paid Shishi is the same garden without them.

Notifications

It asks for permission to send notifications, so that a session can tell you it has ended while you are looking at something else.
